You can attach files directly to a chat and ask the AI to read, summarize, translate, extract data, or answer questions about them.

Upload a file

  1. In the chat input, click the + (paperclip) button on the left side of the toolbar.
  2. Choose the file from your computer.
  3. Type your question (e.g. "summarize this PDF" or "extract the table from page 3 as CSV") and send.

You can also drag and drop files directly into the chat window.

Supported file types

  • Documents: PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, RTF
  • Spreadsheets: XLSX, CSV
  • Images: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF
  • Code: JS, TS, Py, Go, Rs, Java, and all common text-based source files

Limits

  • Maximum file size: 25 MB per file.
  • Maximum files per message: 10.
  • Some models (e.g. older Gemini variants) may have lower limits. If a file is rejected, try a different model.

Privacy

Uploaded files are sent to the selected AI provider only to generate your response. We do not retain or train on uploaded content. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
