A LivingChat subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle. If you signed up for a $1.00 trial and did not cancel before the trial ended, your subscription converted to the standard monthly Pro plan at $29.99/month. This is the most common reason for a "surprise" charge.

Find the subscription

  1. Sign in at livingchat.ai with the email address that received the charge receipt.
  2. Go to Settings → Subscription to see the active plan and renewal date.

If you cannot find any active subscription under your email, the charge may be on a different account. Email billing@livingchat.ai with the charge amount, date, and the last 4 digits of the card and we will locate it.

Stop future charges

Cancel the subscription right away — see canceling your subscription. Cancellation prevents the next renewal but does not refund the most recent charge.

About the most recent charge

Per our Refund Policy, charges are generally non-refundable, including renewals. That said, we want customers to feel they were treated fairly — if you have not used the service since the renewal, email billing@livingchat.ai and our team will review your request individually.

Tips to avoid future surprises

  • Add a calendar reminder one day before your trial or renewal date.
  • Enable email receipts for every charge from your card issuer.
  • Use Settings → Notifications to receive a renewal reminder email three days before each charge.
